Only in Alaska:
Last night I went with the Vernon L. Nash Antique Car Club (see link on right) for a ride and lovely dinner on the Tanana Chief sternwheeler. I was also hired to be the entertainment, so I spent the evening playing, visiting, and eating. It was a wonderful evening to be out on the Chena. We saw a beaver busily swimming with a branch in his mouth, off to hide some food for the winter.
When my boyfriend and I got back to my cabin at ten pm I found a bucket of fresh-caught (still alive and flopping) trout on my doorstep.
Someone with an industrial coatings business had left his business card. I don't know this guy, to the best of my knowledge.
I wondered if it was a courting gift. That would be soooo Alaskan. On the other hand, Scott thought some guy just wants me to clean his fish!
Or is this guy trying to get business so he's leaving TROUT on everyone's doorstep?
It's a mystery.
