My sister actually remembers how old I am today, which must mean that I am not old yet! I'm the oldest of four, so maybe they are all used to knowing how old Big Sis is. Sometimes I have to count on my fingers and consult a calendar to figure out how old my littlest brother is.
Every year we revise what "old" is. Old used to be anyone over 30. Well, THAT sure doesn't seem old anymore! The mother of one of my fiddle students put it this way, "My mother, when she was 87, refused to go to the senior center to socialize because she didn't want to hang around with all those OLD PEOPLE." So yeah, I'm okay with that. Old=90. And not a minute before.
