Some parts of my house are a jumble, with boxes and bags stacked everywhere, baskets full of miscellaneous items, those last few things that just won't pack, laying about taking up space and screaming to be sorted out.
Other parts of my house are quite nicely organized. The books are about halfway unpacked, all the CDs are now in their place, and of course the computer system was the first to get situated. The bathroom is almost there, I'm at the bottom of the last box! Yippee! I should have most stuff put away by the end of next weekend (no, not THIS weekend, I'm going to be too busy).
How do I like my new place? I love it. I have tasty, clear, drinkable well water, Sofia can play outside, the water pressure is remarkable, I can wash my long hair in five minutes instead of fifteen! The landlord is a great guy, easy to get along with and my rent is $150 cheaper! Sure, it's smaller, but I fit in it quite nicely. He keeps things in great repair, and the furnace, watersoftener, water heater and appliances are all modern and in some cases, new.
And best of all, my ride to work is ten to fifteen minutes instead of half an hour to an hour. And it's just a hop and a skip from Scott's place, which makes him happy, too. Previously he was driving thirty miles to visit me.
Life is good.
