I'm just not ready. It snowed a couple days ago, accumulated about 1/4 inch and much of it has melted off already. It's usual for us to have a snowfall or two in September and then for it to melt away. But here it is three days after the snow and there is still quite a bit of it around. And all I can say is I'm not ready. Not ready. Not ready for it to be 25 degrees at night, not ready to wear boots every day, not ready to wear gloves and hat and big coat every time I go outside.
It isn't so cold I have to plug the truck in, thank goodness! I'm really not ready for that yet!
The Indian summer we've been having has been wonderful. However it is true, the leaves are now down and the seasons spin, one to the next.
I'll get used to it again. I'll even love it!
It's the change that's so hard to take.
Addendum: 10:am I just loaded up to go to work. It's only 20 degrees out there! I had to scrape the truck! Yesterday I was outside with a T-shirt on, today I need three layers! Damn!
