The snow finally slides off the roof. We aren't there yet.
When your yard looks like this, it's not yet Spring.
On the other hand, when your driveway is almost bare because you've had the hard pack pulled up, that means you are on the way.
On the other other hand, when it's still piled high all around the yard, there's still some time to go before it's really Spring.
Then again, if it is warm enough for your dog to sun himself at the top of the snirt pile (snow + dirt = snirt) then maybe Spring IS here!
