It was after one in the morning and I was just about to go to sleep when I heard a gut-wrenching scream. I thought my neighbor had had something ungodly happen and was screaming in horror. Ole dashed down the stairs and with thundering knees and feet Sofia burst out from under the bed and they both ran to the front door, and I was right behind them. I switched on the outside light and listened. Sofia's tail was fluffed to the max, her hair was standing up in one big mohawk from butt to skull, and Ole was no slouch in the poofing up fur department either.
I listened by the door and could now tell that it wasn't a person. I think it was a fox, but you listen, (turn up your speakers), and see what you think. You'll see why the dogs freaked out.
Sofia did some major talking, body twisting and head bobbing and really, really wanted to go outside. I waited until they'd calmed down for about half and hour and the fox (or whatever it was) was long gone. Then we went outside and they got to sniff around, but of course not where the fox had been. Now I hope I can finally get some sleep!
