I have some lesson times open Tuesdays and Thursdays, if you'd like some summer fun with music.
If you have two children who would like to learn, I've got a couple places in the week where I can put two lessons side-by-side. This is a real gas and time-saver if you live out of town!
The air conditioner is installed and working, all the work we did to have a wonderful recital is over (that reminds me, I need to post some videos of the recital!), and we are free to play and sing and have fun.
I don't ask for long commitments or scary contracts. A month at a time is long enough for most people to know whether they want to continue or not.
And I don't have any hard and fast rules about practicing. Hey, it's summer. If you don't have time to practice we can always play and learn new things during your lesson. I'd rather you did want to play your instrument at home, but if by chance that doesn't work out now and again, no big deal! It's supposed to be fun. True, learning a musical instrument can be a challenge, too, but a rewarding one. It just gets better and better as you go along, no kidding. One thing is for sure, the more you do it, the easier it gets.
Studies show that learning to play a musical instrument is a great way to keep your brain healthy!
So let me know if you'd like to have some fun with music this summer. My numbers are over there on the left, in the sidebar.
Oh, and don't forget, I can give you lessons via Skype, if you aren't in the Fairbanks area!
