This Winter Recital wasn't an easy recital to get to. A double whammy snow sunk many of us to our knees in the white stuff, and some without a snowplow in sight. I was lucky to get out of my driveway, and even luckier not to end up in the ditch on my way to work. Goldstream Road/Sheep Creek was a single lane in many places. But like many others, I took it easy and got to my studio in one piece.
At one point I was worried that the library might decide to close early, so I called them and was assured that there were no plans to do so. Whew.
There were certainly some who didn't make it, for one reason or another, but there were many more who did than didn't. And the performances were outstanding! I'm so proud of everyone involved, including the parents and family who encourage the kids. I <heart> you guys.
It's too early for pictures and videos but as soon as folks send them, I'll post them.
After most of the evening was over, and we were packing up from the potluck, someone remarked, "Great couple of potlucks!" And that's right. The recital is a music potluck, and we follow it with a food potluck. I like that.
So big congratulations to everyone involved in our two potlucks! YOU did a fabulous job!
