If all goes as planned, all the snow will melt, the trees will green up and we will wearing shorts and skirts to the recital. It could happen!
I'm hoping we will be celebrating the end to this long, long winter. However, no matter what the weather is we will be playing lots of music at the Noel Wien Library auditorium next Thursday night, May 9. Our theme is oceans, rivers, sailors and pirates and there are a plethora of great watery songs and tunes all ready to get your toes tapping. In fact, bring your dancing shoes, because we have a mini-polka session planned, as well as some beautiful waltzes.
Don't forget to bring a potluck dish to share, either!
The students need to arrive by 6:30 at the latest, and the show starts at 7pm. We must be out of the library by 8:45 sharp, so help cleaning up, organizing chairs, and loading up the car is very much appreciated.
Feel free to dress up, parents and students alike. Dressy or casual, sailory or piratey, all modes of G-rated dress are fine. Musicians: dress for comfort. There's nothing worse than trying to fiddle while something itchy is driving you crazy.
Everyone is welcome: friends, family, neighbors, prospective students, parents, grandparents, you name it. However leave the dogs at home. They hog the buffett.
I'll see you there!
