After teaching here for over 20 years, I'm moving back to the Southwest: New Mexico. I will continue to teach, of course! After teaching to distant Alaska villages as early as 2005, pre-Zoom, pre-Facetime with nothing but a sketchy GCI connection to the school, I have developed excellent teaching skills for distance lessons! Even as I close the studio here in Fairbanks, Alaska, I still had several students who preferred my distance lessons to starting with a new person in town.
The great news is that teaching distance is much easier now with all the modern improvements in communications. I have always maintained the highest internet connection I can so that lessons go smoothly. If you had lessons in the studio with me, or want to start learning, we can definitely make that work from Alaska, Canada and all 50 States.
I should be leaving for New Mexico about November 25. Feel free to email or text me, and I will answer when I can. It will take me a week to get to New Mexico, maybe a couple days longer since it is Winter and the weather could interfere.
The contact information as to email and phone are correct. You can always interact through my Facebook Page, as well.
I will miss Alaska, especially all the wonderful people here. That's the real gold in Fairbanks. My grandchildren need their grandma though, so down the Alaska Highway the dogs and I will go.
